Last week the sermon was on the many facets of hope that sustain and encourage believers in Christ, particularly in their times of suffering and distress. We looked at how the Holy Spirit is the One who can “fill believers with all joy and piece in believing so they can overflow with hope by the Spirit’s power.” (Rom. 15:13) But as we return directly to our study in Philippians, there is one other major role of hope we did not discuss – the hope that relates to the Christians death and future in eternity. We turn to that wonderful aspect of hope now. Let us pray.
