A Blue Christmas

Whether we are speaking in human or theological terms, Christians are relational people. We naturally connect with others because God's embrace of us is our model for being. The chief example of that embrace is Bethlehem's child. Sent to us as a human being through an incarnation that we cannot explain, the birth embodied a dimensioin of God that we probably would not have understood otherwise. God thought so much of us that God wanted to oone of us, to holdus close. Such sheer grace is the theme of Christmas.
